I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
